सादर करत आहे: बिलोरी जर्नलचं सबस्टॅक + आपले लेख पाठवा!
प्रिय वाचकहो,
बिलोरी जर्नलच्या वेबसाइटवर पाच दमदार अंक प्रकाशित केल्यानंतर, आपल्यासमोर बिलोरी सबस्टॅक सादर करत आहोत. बिलोरीचे नवीन अंक, निबंध, लेख, ठळक मुद्दे आणि अपडेट्स इत्यादी सबस्टॅकवर प्राथमिकतः प्रकाशित केले जातील. वेबसाइटवरील अंकांचा संग्रह सुरू ठेवण्याचा आम्ही प्रयत्न करू तसेच सोशल मीडियावर तुम्हाला भेटत राहू, पण सबस्टॅक हा वाचकांशी संपर्काचा मुख्य स्त्रोत असेल. बिलोरीच्या सबस्टॅकचे सदस्य व्हा आणि बिलोरीबद्दल इतरांनाही सांगा ही आग्रहाची विनंती!
नवीन वाचकांसाठी बिलोरीची थोडक्यात ओळख करून देते. बिलोरी जर्नल चालवणारी आम्हा पाच जणींची टीम (आना, आर्या, किमाया, सई आणि संजुक्ता) भारत आणि अमेरिकेत विखुरलेली आहे. आम्ही हे काम अवड म्हणून आणि विनामोबदला करतो. कामाच्या व्यापातून बिलोरीसाठी वेळ काढण्याची तीन मुख्य कारणं आहेत -
1. आम्हाला भाषांतराची कृती आणि त्या प्रक्रियेतून होणारी निर्मिती अतिशय महत्वाची वाटते.
2. आपली द्विभाषिकता आणि बहुभाषिकता ही, आपण साहित्य आणि बाह्य जगाशी कशा प्रकारे जोडले जातो हे ठरवते; ही बाब आम्ही जाणून आहोत आणि आम्हाला ती साजरी करावीशी वाटते.
3. सामाजिक-राजकीय आणि आर्थिक विषयांमध्ये अनेक साहित्यकृती दुर्लक्षित राहतात. अशा साहित्यकृतींवरील लेख व निबंध यांचा आम्ही शोध घेत असतो आणि बिलोरीमध्ये त्यांचा समावेश करू इच्छितो.
तुम्ही वर्षभरात कधीही आपले निबंध/लेख पाठवू शकता. दुर्लक्षित, अपरिचित, फारशा ज्ञात किंवा प्रसिद्ध नसलेल्या (कोणत्याही भाषेतील) साहित्यकृतींबद्दल मराठी किंवा इंग्रजी भाषेतले निबंध आम्ही शोधत आहोत. मुख्य प्रवाहामध्ये केंद्रस्थानी असलेल्या आणि सखोल विश्लेषण झालेल्या साहित्यावरील निबंध आम्ही स्वीकारत नाही.

Hello Reader,
After publishing five dynamic issues on the Bilori Journal website, we are happy to bring you our substack. This will function as the primary platform to access our latest issues, essays, articles, highlights and updates. We will try and maintain an archive of the issues on the website and update our social media periodically as well, but substack will be our main point of contact with the readers. We’d be so happy to have you subscribe and spread the word!
For those, who might have discovered us recently, we are a team of five volunteers (Anna, Arya, Kimaya, Saee and Sanjukta), scattered across India and the US and we make time to run Bilori for three main reasons—
because we love the process, act and creation of translation
because we recognise and celebrate that our bilinguality and multilinguality informs the way we engage with literature and the world
because we wish to discover and share essays about works of literature that have been obscured by socio-political and economic algorithms
We are open for submissions throughout the year. We are looking for essays in Marathi or English about works of literature (from any language) that are marginalised, sidelined or lesser known. We are not looking for essays that centre on the mainstream canonical literature that has already been analysed thoroughly.
